Despite having to delay the grand opening by several weeks as a result of damage caused by February's massive ice storm, Indy's newest club, Sensu, opened its doors this past weekend and hosted a very successful party. Gone are the black-light responsive neon paintings, scandalous dancing cages, sticky floors, dirty rap, and manner-less clientele of former tenant Have A Nice Day. That bold and retro motif has since been replaced by sleek and modern décor curated around Sensu's signature black and red colors, plush furniture and extravagant accents. If opening night is any indication, the drinks, food and grooves are quite a welcome replacement.
