Winter weather be damned, a big NUVO team and hundreds of others plunged into Eagle Creek on Saturday in support of the Special Olympics.

NUVO has a few seasoned Polar Plunge vets on our team (including our Marketing and Events Manager whose plunged a grand total of four times), but we welcomed plenty of newbies to the Reservoir this year for the annual freeze-your-toes fundraiser. Photographer Lora Olive was on hand to take plenty of pics of the celebrations -- which took place on the bank adjacent the narrow beach where upwards of 25 inches of ice was carved out by the Indianapolis Fire Department so plungers could get their soak on.
