The 6th annual Going Green Fest on March 14 and 15 at the Indiana State Museum engaged hundreds of Indiana youth interested in exploring the science of sustainability. Some 600 students attended Friday's Going Green Fest, with an additional program conceived by NUVO former Managing Editor Jim Poyser: An Eco Science Fair drew seven schools and well over a hundred students from elementary, middle school and high school. One school, Good Shepherd Montessori, traveled from South Bend to attend.

An Eco Film Fest featured a trio of Indiana made documentaries, along with a free showing of WALL-E. Some 300 people witnessed these films on the IMAX screen.

Next year's Going Green Fest will be held March 13 and 14.
