Erykah Badu brought her lush and rhythmic neo-soul to the Murat Theatre at Old National Centre Friday night. The show was opened by a slew of comedians and poets. The Grammy-winning theater grad has an impressive vocal range and varies soft, quiet crooning with intense bursts of song. During the show, Badu commented that she hadn't "been through Indianapolis in a good spell," and mentioned how much she missed us. The sentiment was mutual.
