Sacred romance

The passionate mystic poetry of Sufi poets Rumi and Hafiz will be featured in an unusual collaborative performance involving the music of Cathy Morris and Daryl Spurlock, and the interpretive dancing of People, Paint and Percussion that takes place on the Indianapolis Museum of Art terrace at 7:30 p.m., July 6. The audience is invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs, food and drink to celebrate the release of Sacred Romance, a locally produced CD. Richard Brendan and Debbie Young will present the poems of Rumi and Hafiz. John Domont contributed artwork. Admission for this program is free. The IMA is located at 4000 Michigan Road.
