After taking hiatus, the Spud Puppies are back for one show to headline the festival for their first show in over two years. The band will play tunes from their two CDs, (2005’s Off the Leash and 2004’s Pick of the Litter), as well as songs that strike their fancy. Among other bands on the bill include The Punkin Holler Boys and Gamblin' Christmas.
We'll have more on this show as it draws closer.
Lafayette's Mike Reeb has a full-song preview of "Turn Your Ear" from his new EP. Listeners can also vote for the style of artwork and vote for the EP title, or suggest a new title.
As an independent artist, Reeb is continuing to take donations to finish the record. For a $10 gift, he will mail you a signed copy of the EP. For $50, I'll even drive to the person's house and give a free house show.
"I love house shows and that I'm hoping to support the new EP in living rooms and basements throughout the Midwest this fall," he wrote in an email. "House shows don't require a sound system, they're much more laid back."
