Recovering addict Kim (Anne Hathaway) leaves rehab to attend the wedding of her sister, Rachel (Rosemarie Dewitt from Mad Men
). The weekend is supposed to center on Rachel, but the self-absorbing Kim steals her thunder (wait until you hear her rehearsal dinner toast), leading to considerable friction within the family. Director Jonathan Demme does an excellent job weaving together the various plot threads and cooking up an imaginative wedding that's fun to watch. The hand-held camera work (to capture the feel of a home video) is distracting at times, but the movie is rich and strong. Great soundtrack, too. 111 minutes. DVD INFO: Includes two commentary tracks, cast and crew Q&A, featurettes and deleted scenes.
