Quick movie review: "The Book of Eli"

Eli (Denzel Washington) wanders the wasteland of post-apocalyptic America in this end-of-the-world saga. Gary Oldman plays a despot in some wrecked town who takes on Washington. Meanwhile, Oldman's daughter, Mila Kunis, is fascinated by Washington and insists on traveling with him. The Hughes Brothers (Menace II Society) story is slow and stylized, with bursts of action, but not enough. The acting is top notch. It all gets sillier and sillier until the last reel, which includes one of the more outlandish twist endings ever. Talk about God working in mysterious ways! 118 minutes.
