3 stars, (PG-13)In the future, men and women in the privacy of their homes plug their minds into a computer that allows them to control robots called "surrogates." Bruce Willis plays an FBI agent hot on the trail of a new weapon that destroys a surrogate's brain and, in effect, the human operator's. Willis is great as his usual tough guy self. Is there any action movie he isn't good in? Surrogates has an inventive concept, and works quite well. Director Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3) keeps the flick moving with imaginative stunts and exciting chase scenes throughout. The only problem with the 88-minute thriller is it's far too short, leaving the audience with a tasty yet "bite size" cinematic treat.
