The public is invited to City Market Sunday afternoon to write letters of support to the Orlando community in the wake of the Pulse nightclub massacre that occurred June 12. The #WriteWithLove
campaign takes its inspiration from the story of JetBlue Airline passengers writing letters of support to another passenger, who happened to be the grandmother of one of the Pulse victims, on her way to the funeral. The small request of one of the airline attendants turned into an outpouring of support for the woman grieving her grandchild.
The letter writing event will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 26 in the Whistler (West) Plaza of City Market.
All of the letters written at City Market will be presented to Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, who is in Indianapolis for the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
With the U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting in Indianapolis this weekend, Indy Pride, Inc. and Indianapolis City Market are using the opportunity to allow Hoosiers to voice their support for the citizens of Orlando, Florida.
