The candidates for lieutenant governor will meet for a joint forum about the arts in Indiana on Sept. 14 in Columbus.

The event - sponsored by the Indiana Arts Commission and the Indiana Coalition for the Arts - will include 20-minute presentations from Rep. Sue Ellspermann, the Republican running with gubernatorial hopeful Mike Pence, and from Sen. Vi Simpson, the Democrat running with John Gregg.

The groups have asked the candidates to talk about their visions for the arts in Indiana and how a Pence or Gregg administration would help that vision come to fruition. The audience will then have the opportunity to ask questions.

The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. at the Columbus City Hall. To register, email Dennis Hardin at dehardin@iac.in.gov or call him directly at (317) 232-1269. This event is free.
