Oscar nominees screenings

The 2009 AMC Best Picture Showcase gives you the opportunity to experience all five movies nominated by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for Best Picture all in one day, all for $30, which includes a large popcorn with unlimited refills for the entire day.

The screenings will take place Feb. 21, beginning at 10:30 a.m., at AMC Castleton Square 14, 6020 E. 82nd St., and AMC Greenwood 14, 461 S. Greenwood Park Drive. The running time for the marathon is 13 hours and 29 minutes. The films will play in one dedicated auditorium back-to-back throughout the day. Upon arrival, guests will receive a souvenir lanyard, which will feature artwork from the five nominated films and give guests the freedom to come and go throughout the event as they please.

The Best Picture nominees are The Reader, Milk, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Slumdog Millionaire and Frost/Nixon.
