Nourish closes its doors, fires all staff

Without giving any notice to the  staff, the owners of Nourish closed the doors and fired their entire staff. The restaurant is going to be officially closed by Friday, with all the leftover food being donated to Second Helpings.

Sarah's thoughts on the shuttering of Nourish

I spoke to chef Eli Laidlaw on the phone, and he sounded pretty shaken. While the staff was aware they weren't doing a lot of business during the day, they were not warned of the catastrophic money loss that "forced" the owners to shut down suddenly. Update: Bar manager Amy Sawyer says neither the bar or wait staff were warned about the closing. A previous version stated that some bartenders were given notice.

"We were brought into a meeting, handed in our keys and that was it." Laidlaw will stay through the end of the week to finish the closure.

So now there is a whole restaurant staff suddenly out of jobs. If you have leads on any available jobs, email me and I'll pass the info along to Eli and his crew. I'll update this post as I get more info about Nourish's closure.
