Today's visit to the Indiana State Fair was all about the animals. I managed to walk through all of the animal barns on the south end of the Fairgrounds.
It was amazing to watch the draft horses arrive - they're huge!
4-H'er getting his sheep all combed and fancy.
Miah Martin (left, pink shirt) and her ewe took third place in the 4-H Class 5 Suffolk Ewe competition. Miah is amazing at showmanship - look how perfectly her ewe is standing.
#selfiewithafarmer - Leslie Woolever-Martin and her family raise sheep, swine, and cattle in Cass County. She is one of several Cass County farmers that I am proud to be related to!
Nora Spitznogle is a nonprofit director by day and year-round Indiana State Fair geek. She hasn't missed a single day of the Fair in over a decade and the stack of ribbons from entering baking competitions and ugly lamp contests in the Open Show are among her prized possessions.
