Nights in Rodanthe

Richard Gere and Diane Lane star in an old-fashioned romantic tearjerker, based on the novel by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook). Lane's estranged cheating husband (Christopher Meloni) takes the kids to Orlando, leaving Lane free to inn-sit while her friend Viola Davis goes away. There's only one guest at the picturesque inn on North Carolina's beautiful Outer Banks, troubled surgeon Gere. You can take it from there. Gere and Lane are always entertaining and fun to watch (so much perfect hair!). The bare-bones format is amusing. The story plods and is totally predictable, but with this kind of film, I guess that's what fans want. 96 minutes. DVD INFO: Includes no extras.
