An Oaken Barrel favorite returns and Indiana City celebrates home brewers

Oaken Barrel
’s favorite Summer-time seasonal beer, the King Rudi is now on tap. A Gold Medal winner at the 2013 Indiana State Fair Brewers’ Competition, King Rudi Hefe is a refreshing German wheat beer. Oaken Barrel’s Beer Garden is open.



Indiana City
has a return of Son of War in cans.

Registration for Indiana City’s 2016 Summer Edition of the Home Brewer Battle begins April 8 at noon for up to 75 “Tasters” and at 7 p.m. for the 16 homebrewer slots in the Belgian Pale Ales style.


The battle will take place June 11, 1-3p.m.

Indiana City announced that their April artists are Shannon, “bringing street art into the taproom with her pop culture paintings on some non-traditional canvases,” and Kyle Helmond, “with striking photography, giving nod to the city we all love along with some of the most beautiful places in the country.”
