Native American Heritage Day 

Indiana is the land of Indians, and Aug. 29, the First Ever Native American Heritage Day will be celebrated at Garfield Park, 2450 Shelby St. The day will begin with a Native American Business Association Seminar at 10 a.m. Things really get rolling at 12:30 p.m. when the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi will begin a powwow with a Grand Entry.
