Dean Johnson Gallery will host Craine House Awareness, an exhibit showcasing original art in various mediums from local artists on the subject of maternal incarceration, as well as work by the women of Craine House, an alternative sentencing program for non-violent females that allows them to serve out their sentence while living with their preschool-age children.
The show will be up at Dean Johnson Gallery, 646 Massachusetts Ave., from Aug 17-Sept. 4. There will be an opening reception featuring live music and hors d’oeuvres from 5-9 p.m. Friday.
All proceeds will benefit the John P. Craine House, and donations will be accepted. For more information, call 317-634-8020 or go to www.deanjohnson.com.
