Beloved writer Kurt Vonnegut once said, “If I ever severed myself from Indianapolis, I would be out of business.” Thanks to the city’s support, his work — and spirit — is alive and well in the Kurt Vonnegut Memorial Library. Open daily, except Wednesdays, from noon to 5 p.m., the library serves as a cultural and educational resource facility, museum, art gallery and reading room — all of which are imbued with the essence of the late, great writer. Keep an eye out for the library’s writing workshops and outreach activities with local arts organizations. Located in the historic Emelie Building downtown.
