Jad Fair's monsters and love

Jad Fair has made a name for himself as an eccentric lo-fi guitarist and singer with the band Half Japanese. He’s played with Jason Willett, Yo La Tengo and the Teenage Fan Club. But he’s also a visual artist whose preoccupations include good versus evil, monsters and love.

Galerie Penumbra in Fountain Square will present a show of Fair’s work, A Happier Happiness, opening June 1 from 5-9 p.m. Fair will attend the opening and then walk over to Radio Radio, where he will perform.

The show runs through June 28. Galerie Penumbra is located at 1043 Virginia Ave. For more information, go to www.galeriepenumbra.com or call 317-822-8331.
