ISO - Joshua Bell Plays Brahms

When: Thu., May 31, 11 a.m. 2012
Price: Ticket prices vary.
Elgar’s Enigma Variations is a wonderful musical book inscription, dedicated to "my friends pictured within." Each one of the delightfully concise variations is a warmhearted depiction of one of his close and personal friends, from a raucous pet bulldog and his wife, Alice, to a revealing self-portrait.

The Grammy Award-winning and virtuosic pianist Yefim Bronfman returns to the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in Brahms’ monolithic Piano Concerto No. 2. With the help of the masterful conductor Mark Wigglesworth, this concerto will prove to be a work marked by sophistication, skillfulness and range.
