ISO celebrates black history 

The Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra will celebrate African-American artistry and its impact on music in a free concert Feb. 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Hilbert Circle Theatre. Joining the ISO will be Leslie B. Dunner, music director and principal conductor of the renowned Joffrey Ballet, vocalist Carolyn Sebron and the Asante Children’s Theatre Kwanzaa Community Choir. The program will include music by Indianapolis native and jazz legend Dr. David Baker, Maestro Dunner and Dorothy Rudd-Moore, arrangements of traditional spirituals and other works.
