Al fresco at Easley
Al fresco dining has come to the expanded Easley Winegarden. The winery's Meredith Easley says the outdoor service features menus and free delivery from The Villa, Bazbeaux Pizza and Santorini's Greek Restaurant. Delivery is guaranteed within 20 to 45 minutes. "This way you can sip your first glass of wine in the winegarden, order from the menu of your choice and enjoy and appropriate Easley wine with your meal choices," Easley says. Food service is available from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. nightly, except Tuesday, when it closes at 7 p.m., and Sunday, when hours are noon-4 p.m.
Live music will be featured Tuesday evenings from 5-7 p.m. and on Saturday from 1-4 p.m.
Easley Winery will celebrate its 30th anniversary this summer with the introduction of several new wines. Easley is located at 205 N. College Ave., 636-4516.
Taste café & marketplace grand opening
Taste serves gourmet breakfasts, lunches and weekend brunches, and features home-made specialty dishes, sandwiches and salads and an extensive array of baked goods and desserts.
After spending the last 15 years managing the kitchens of some of New York and Los Angeles' most successful restaurants, seasoned executive Chefs Marc Urwand and Deidra Henry moved back to Indianapolis to start their own café and gourmet marketplace. Along with Henry's sister Dana Henry Amos, the team's mission is to create a modern yet relaxed, neighborhood restaurant that offers both grab-and-go cuisine and leisurely meals at an affordable price.
Taste hopes to distinguish itself from other Indianapolis breakfast and lunch spots by offering a fresh approach to classic American. Taste is located at 5164 N. College Ave.; www.tastecafeandmarketplace.com or call 925-café.
