Chef Proprietor Steven J. Oakley announced Roddy Kirschenman of Indianapolis as Oakleys Bistro's manager effective April 3, 2004. Kirschenman most recently was general manger at Tavola Di Tosa where he began in 2001, after working for a year as assistant general manager in charge of wine at Indianapolis' Northside Ruth's Chris Steak House.
Brian Fowler, manager since November 2002, is leaving Oakleys Bistro to join the management staff of "D'vine a wine bar," scheduled to open in mid May on the city's Northeastside.

A wine tasting will be held Thursday, April 22, 6-8 p.m. at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, 4000 Michigan Road. Learn to pair chardonnays and merlots with various foods in the elegant atmosphere of the Garden Terrace. Come for a night of fabulous wines, hors d'oeuvres and talented wine experts from National Wine & Spirits. Wines will be available for purchase after the tasting.
