Wild Oats, 1300 E. 86th St., will hold a Citrus Fest Saturday, Jan. 10 from noon to 4 p.m. Stop by the store for samples of fresh organic citrus fruits and delicious citrus recipes, and enter to win a citrus-themed gift basket. All ages are invited to make Orange Peel Bird Feeders.
For the adults, a "Celebrating Citrus" cooking class will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Cori Loughman will lead this fun and interactive cooking class which celebrates citrus. You will help her prepare this simple, light and delicious meal and then delight in consuming it! The meal will feature a Tangy Citrus Salad, Sea Scallops and Clementines in a delectable sauce and Cafe La Orange, a soothing and smooth coffee that is as exciting as it is comforting.
The cooking class is $20 per person, with a limit of 10 participants. To register, call 767-7750.
