Something Different Tapas Dinner

Santé Magazine, "the magazine for restaurant professionals," recently awarded Circle City Bar & Grille for its fine wine selection and innovative cuisine. Each year, the magazine singles out the restaurant industry's top venues and professionals for special recognition. This is the first year Circle City Bar & Grille won this award.
Champagne tasting at Chalkies
On Thursday, Sept. 25, Chalkies will host a tasting of fine champagnes and sparkling wines. There will be eight wines on offer, with light hors d'oeuvres prepared by Chef Richard Cottance. The wines will be presented by NUVO's own Neil Charles. There will be a short reception at 6:30, with the tasting starting promptly at 7 p.m. The cost is $22.50 per person plus tax. The Heron changes hands
Geist Restaurants Inc. has announced the sale of the Heron restaurant to Henri and Shelley Najem. The Heron, with its waterfront view of Geist, has been a popular restaurant on the far Northeast side of Indianapolis for approximately 10 years. Mr. Najem presently owns and manages Bella Vita on Brook School Road and the new Vizions on 82nd Street. Najem is planning a complete renovation of the building, plans for which include an Italian style interior and a fresh new exterior. Set to open in January or February of 2004 the facility is to include an expansive outside deck and open air kitchen.
