An immeasurable resource to Midwest film culture — and the state's finest theater, in terms of sound and visual quality, equipped with THX-certified sound system and equipment to project in just about any format. Each semester's schedule includes a mix of lectures and visits by living filmmakers, classic films from around the world and left-field programming of experimental and Midnight Movie flavors. Consistently worth the drive for Indianapolis cinephiles; and cheaper than cheap, with most screenings being free or $3. Parking can be hassle during the school day, though most events take place in the evening and on weekends.
