As 2012 marks the 35th anniversary of The King’s death and of his last concert --heldin Indy’s own long-demolished Market Square Arena (which is now a parking lot)--it’s only fitting that the Indiana State Fair hosts an Elvis impersonation contest in the Farm Bureau Building this year. Contestants will be judged in three categories: best look-a-like, best sound-a-like and best overall. Judging by a quick glimpse at last year’s National Finals winners, the contestants take their impersonating pretty seriously; it’ll be almost like Elvis himself was back with us. If your lifelong dream is to visit Graceland, then you’ll definitely enjoy this tribute.
