Indiana: mission support

Seems like we are going more that the active duty, folks (News, Thumbsdown: Duty Bound, Sept. 19-26)! Indiana has been tasked in doing more mission support, i.e. Bosnia 2004, Katrina, Iraq, Afghanistan and a number of other smaller roles in support of other missions. That is part of the job when you put on the uniform, but man we are spread thin. It is no wonder more than half my unit is getting out of the Guard when we get home, and most of them are senior enlisted to boot!!! The blame falls right on the TAG for the loss of most of his Guard forces when we return. One weekend a month, two weeks a year, yea right!!! Not in Indiana!!
