This year's Winter Nights theme is "Visual Feasts", and the IMA is kicking things off with the little known, yet visually stunning, film The Fall
, directed by Tarsem Singh. In 1920s Los Angeles, an injured stuntman tells a little girl a dark story of five mythical heroes. As the story goes on, the lines between what is real and what is imagined start to blur. Tarsem's trademarks are vibrant, colorful settings and elaborately costumed characters, and this film has both in spades.
