Big Car Collaborative
's latest site-specific, pop-up show officially opened during the Garfield Park Better Blocks event in June. But since then more artists have contributed to the show at K&S Appliance — Know No Stranger's Alan Goffinksi, General Public's Jason Pittenger-Arnold, Nathan Russell, Jim Kelly and Niina Cochran, Big Car's artist-in-residence.

Cochran put together a partnership between Big Car and Greensboro, N.C. thrift store/museum/art center Elsewhere that has allowed Elsewhereians to contribute to the show from afar. You have two opportunities to see the expanded show: July 26, 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and Aug. 8, 6-8 p.m.

Good Vibrations
features "a mixture of drawings and writings exploring the inner lives of large home appliances; their experiences in counting time, searching for a place called home, and coming to terms with aging and deterioration" (to quote from Big Car's news release). When it isn't functioning as a temporary art gallery, K&S Appliance sells refurbished appliances and provides repair and service.
