George Washington: The Man and the Myth

When: Sat., Feb. 16, 2-3 p.m. 2013
Meet the real man behind the legend, when the Voices From the Past Storyteller Series presents “George Washington: The Man and the Myth” at the Johnson County Museum, on Saturday, February 16th from 2:00 to 3:00. For many, the name “Washington” evokes images of cherry trees, dollar bills, wooden teeth, and the Delaware River. Presenter David Best wants to introduce you to the real George Washington, who was a loving family man, a brilliant general, and a successful farmer. In this free presentation, you will learn about the people and events that influenced the man who would become our nation’s first president.
