F.U.N.K. Festival 2006
Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park
Drawing strongly off of Victor Wooten’s highly successful Bass Nature Camp, the F.U.N.K. Festival combines the atmosphere of a music and camping festival with workshops on music, nature and more. It will feature two stages of music, plus a third “knowledge stage,” which will host the music workshops and feature speakers on a variety of important social and environmental issues. Food, drink, merchandise and all kinds of beer make this an event you’ll want to pitch a tent and camp to.
Confirmed artists include: Victor Wooten Band, Umphrey’s McGee featuring Joshua Redman, Honkytonk Homeslice with Billy Nershi of String Cheese Incident, Groovatron and Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band.
Three-day tickets including camping are $65 by phone at 1-800-514-ETIX, or print your tickets off the festival Web site: www.jaytv.com/funkfestival. At the gate: $80 for a three-day ticket with camping. Children 6 and under get in for free with a parent. Children 6-12 will be half price at the gate.
