Funk at Galerie Penumbra

Ed Funk is a local treasure. There, we’ve said it. His visual art is a feast for the eye. The first glance might seem jazzy, but let your gaze linger. The longer you look, the more still Funk’s ingenious compositions become. You’re not just listening to the band — you’re in it. Funk is also renowned for his mastery as a printmaker. Confessional Acts & Objects of Love is a show of Funk’s woodblock prints, complemented by mixed media collages by David Mattingly at Mattingly’s Galerie Penumbra in the Murphy Building at 1043 Virginia Ave. The opening is March 2 from 5-9 p.m. Show runs through March 31
