The Fever lead 68-65 with about four minutes to go, but watched as the Dream went on an 11-0 run to finish the game and take the win. That run was in large part the due to Angel McCoughtry's corner three that gave the Dream a 70-68 lead.
"I think we played a solid 38 minutes which is an improvement," said Fever guard Briann January. "But we need to put 40 minutes together."
Sunday night's loss dropped the Fever to 6-9 and fifth in the Eastern Conference. The Dream, on the other hand, remain atop the conference sitting comfortably at 11-4.
The Fever will look to avoid their fifth straight loss on Tuesday night as they face off against the Dream again. This time the game will be in Atlanta's Philips Arena. History is not on the Fever's side as the Dream have a 7-1 record at home this season.
