Evan Handler, Harry on Sex and the City, is a 20-year survivor of “incurable leukemia” and a successful writer, with a new memoir called It’s Only Temporary: The Good News and the Bad News About Being Alive. Handler appears as part of the Ann Katz Festival of Books at the Jewish Community Center, 6701 Hoover Road, Oct. 29 at 7 p.m. Admission is $30 and includes a copy of Evan’s book. The Ann Katz Festival of Books celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
