I’ve been in many choirs throughout my life with many wonderful directors ... Eric [Stark] is the absolute best (A&E, “Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra & Indianapolis Symphonic Choir,” April 23-30
)! In rehearsals, he weaves a silken thread from the score, through his thoughts and into each of our hearts. Using spontaneous imagery such as, “This should sound like cold, still marble,” or “Each part is emerging like stars in the night sky,” he gently places 160 different minds all on the back of the same eagle’s flight. We would all be there to experience the music through his heart were there no audience at all, I believe. Thank you, Eric.
