Indiana Governor Mike Pence knows Indiana Democrats have painted a target on his back as he prepares to announce his re-election campaign later this month.

However that target just got a little bigger.

Emily’s List, a national resource for women in politics and advocate for women’s issues, has put Pence “On Notice” for 2016. “On Notice” is a list of incumbent politicians at all levels of government that Emily’s List targets to unseat in the upcoming election cycle. Pence is the first governor to make the list for 2016. To date, the list also includes 14 incumbent congressional representatives.

Emily’s List is targeting Pence based on his record both as a governor and as a congressman. The organization says Pence (and others) need to be held accountable for their extreme records that hurt women, families and the economy. Specifically for Pence, Emily’s List cites this year’s RFRA debacle as well as his positions on abortion, subsequent Planned Parenthood funding and equal pay.

Howey Politics reports that Emily’s List and Glenda Ritz’s campaign have been in talks, however Emily’s List officials say the talks do not mean an endorsement for Ritz.

Sen. Karen Tallian and former House Speaker John Gregg are also running under the democratic ticket for governor.
