Dyers Eve horror film premiere with Metal Hertz, Regicide, Fleshsuit, DJ Sin

Ugly Monkey
Saturday, Jan. 27, 5 p.m., free

Electric mayhem! Well, gas-powered mayhem, anyway, when the likes of Metal Hertz takes the stage for rock and roll and a little of the old “ultraviolence.”

It’s all part of the screening of local horror film Dyers Eve at the Ugly Monkey this Saturday, written and directed by Indy’s Mark Goles, with performances by Metal Hertz, Rejicide, Fleshsuit and DJ Sin.

Metal Hertz — fronted by Jeff Parks with drummer Nathan Mahom and bassist Brian Barr — prides itself on the madness it’s created for the last few years, with everything from German-imported chainsaws to real coffins on stage. Goles has worked with them on the music video front as well.

As for Rejicide, another of Parks’ hypersplatter projects, its members describe themselves as “a lion trapped in a room full of bunny rabbits.” Draw your own conclusions.

Don’t miss out on the chance to arrive early for the red-carpet entrance, either. Goles is a master showman, with experience in haunted houses, wrestling promotion and just about anything else that requires splatter.
