Greetings, Renee,

I have been unable to find a consistent Indianapolis source for safe disposal of medicines, both prescription and OTC. I, and the rest of your readers, want to avoid these meds making their way into our water supply. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Greetings to you, Dick!

I prescribe that you check out the Recycling Indiana Unwanted Medicine page for complete info on disposing of prescription and OTC drugs. The only consistent drop-off locations in Indy are:

Marion County Sheriff’s Department, 50 South Alabama in the front lobby

Lawrence Police Department, 4450 McCoy Street in the front lobby

Avon Police Department Headquarters, on 6550 E US Highway 36 in the front lobby

Marsh has an antidote for getting rid of unwanted medicine twice a year.

Piece out,

(NOTE: This article appeared in the Jan. 6, 2016 issue of NUVO.)
