The Third Annual Deco Down will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 5 and 6 in the Fountain Square neighborhood. Twenty–three of the city’s most talented decorators, artists, architects and landscapers will volunteer their talents to decorate two Fountain Square neighborhood homes on a budget: no more than $750 each.
One home, located at 1034 Elm St., is brand new construction. The other, located at 1728 Union St., is completely renovated. Both homes are for sale to low and medium income buyers.
The idea behind Deco Down is not only to showcase local designers and decorating on a budget, but also to feature affordable housing in one of the city’s up-and-coming neighborhoods.
Hours are Saturday, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday, noon-6 p.m. Tickets are $8 at the door or $6 in advance at all Indianapolis area Marsh Supermarkets. All proceeds benefit the programs of SEND and Concord Community Development.
