Dean Johnson's 'Dreams' exhibit

Although every single person dreams, those sleep-induced images remain largely a mystery. DreamTime will open at Dean Johnson Gallery May 1, 5-9 p.m. The exhibit will feature a diverse and forward-thinking display of works created to depict the artist's dreams -- a compilation of work including 2D, 3D, photography and video art by a group of artists whose dream-inspired work was used to illustrate the concept of archetypes in the ground-breaking PBS television program Dreamtime: Universal Archetypes. The documentary takes a microscope to dreams by trying to understand why we dream, what we dream about and how dreams can help guide us in the future.

The exhibit runs through June 18. Dean Johnson is located at 646 Massachusetts Ave. For more information, visit or call 317-634-8020.
