In the nebulous, happening-sometime-the-week-of-May-10 category:
— Check back soon for my conversation with Asia LaBouche, a headlining performer and one of the Ladies of Legend from Talbott Street Nightclub (2145 N. Talbott Street). We're going to have tea and I'm going to attempt to not say anything stupid. I might ask for makeup tips, though.
— I'll be — gulp — covering some sporting events or, at the very least, talking to some of the players involved, including representatives from the Indiana Speed, our women's professional football team. I saw them play a few times back when they were known as the Vipers; I'm excited to find out what has changed the last several years. Including, one hopes, my aversion to football.
— I also plan to feature a discussion with some folks behind the Indianapolis Women's Chorus, who have a concert coming up next month. "We Got Spirit!" will take place on Saturday, June 5, at 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 6, at 4:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Indianapolis (615 W. 43rd Street). You should really take the chance to hear both the women's and men's choruses, the latter who will be playing tribute to Queen on June 12 and 13 at Unity Church (907 North Delaware).
