Cincotti performs with the Pops 



Twenty-one-year-old jazz singer, songwriter and piano sensation Peter Cincotti will make his Indianapolis debut with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra to kick off the ISO’s 2004-2005 Bank One Fall Pops Series Sept. 24-26 at the Hilbert Circle Theatre.

Recognized as one of the new stars on the pop-jazz music scene, Cincotti will perform songs from his new album, Over The Moon, which features his own unique renditions and arrangements of popular standards, including “Cherokee,” “Some Kind of Wonderful,” “I Love Paris” and “St. Louis Blues,” among others, as well as original tunes he has written for the new recording with Concord Records. He also will perform favorites from his first album (released in 2003), Peter Cincotti, which climbed to the top of the Billboard Traditional Jazz charts last year.

Cincotti made his cinematic debut in Spider Man 2, and will appear as Bobby Darin’s arranger and friend, Dick Behrke, in the Kevin Spacey film based on the life of Bobby Darin, Beyond the Sea.

Jack Everly will conduct. Performance times are 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. Friday, 8 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday. Ticket prices for the evening performances range from $28-$65. Seating for the Friday, 11 a.m. performance is very limited. To purchase tickets, call the Hilbert Circle Theatre box office at 639-4300.
