Written in Paris in 1778, Mozart’s ethereal Concerto for Flute and Harp is the only piece he ever wrote that includes a harp. Mozart’s colleague was inspired to remark, “I have never yet met a composer who has such an amazing wealth of ideas: I could almost wish he were not so lavish in using them.” Butler University instructor Wendy Muston is featured as harp soloist, and CSO Principal Flutist Karen Sheely – co-chair of the Board of Visitors for the Butler University Jordan College of Arts (and also a Butler graduate) – will be featured as flute soloist.
