(AKA The I.U. Health North Hospital 2nd Saturday Gallery Walk.) It may be a surprise to some that there’s a good selection of contemporary art galleries in Carmel among the J. Seward Johnson “Man on the Street” sculptures along Main Street. But it’s true. The Evan Lurie Gallery and Garvey|Simon Art Access usually have works on display that wouldn’t seem out of place in the hippest galleries in New York or L.A. And three galleries that just opened this year — the Eye on Art Gallery, the French Bleu Gallery, and Renaissance Fine Art & Design — help make these monthly Second Saturday events a draw for the serious art collector and the casual visitor alike.
