Butler Ballet & Balanchine 

"Serenade," the first original ballet George Balanchine choreographed upon his arrival in the United States in 1934, will be performed by Butler Ballet as part of its Midwinter Dance Festival, Feb. 13-14 at Clowes Hall on the Butler University campus. Danced to the music of Tchaikovsky's Serenade for Strings in C, Op. 48, the ballet requires 26 dancers. The performance has the approval of the George Balanchine Trust. Show times both days are at 8 p.m. Tickets are $21.50-$28.50, $17-$23 for children, students and seniors.
