Best Local Live Theater

Indiana Repertory Theatre

Steven Stolen left the IRT as managing director this summer, but artistic director Janet Allen remains at the helm for the theater's 42nd season, which offers a nice mix of classics and new work. On the marquee are an adaptation of Robert Fagles' translation of The Iliad, called An Iliad; playwright-in-residence James Still's oft-produced and then they came for me: Remembering the World of Anne Frank; a trip through the world of Kurt Vonnegut, Who Am I This Time? (and other conundrums of love), adapted by Aaron Posner; and The Mountaintop, starring IRT vet David Alan Anderson as Martin Luther King, Jr.
