Best local author

John Green

Currently, Green is probably the biggest name in Indiana literature — or the most popular, at least. The young adult author, blogger, humanitarian and nerdfighter never seems to stop moving. We are eagerly awaiting his next novel or film adaptation, but in the meantime Green has been all over the globe. He has traveled to refugee camps and continues to share his experiences with his video series with his brother Hank Green. The Green brothers also created a series of videos known as CrashCourse — shortened classroom lessons told in an energetic way to help kids in various subjects. Green has been working on a curriculum to accompany it. (Green also won a NUVO Cultural Vision Award a few years back.)
