Oliver Winery is always a marker to let you know when you're almost to Bloomington. For those of you who do drive past, turn around and stop in to see what NUVO readers have polled as the Best Indiana Wine for now the sixth year in a row. Started in the 1960s by Indiana University Law Professor William Oliver, the winery boasts an array of wines from sweet Rieslings to deep Merlots all made from grapes grown in Indiana. Yes, Indiana has a "wine country," who knew? Oliver also offers tours, tastings and shopping, and many retailers carry several of Oliver's popular wines.
